Funko FROZEN POP! Vinyls Figures Summer 2014

There’s no property that has taken the world by (ice) storm in the last year in quite the same way as Frozen has! Disney’s Frozen has become a pop culture phenomenon that is now the highest grossing animated film of all-time worldwide, and one of only a dozen and a half movies to ever gross over a billion dollars in theaters. So yeah–Frozen is pretty hot (or should I say “cool”) stuff. And as such, there are plenty of hardcore Frozen fans out there that are absolutely ravenous for Frozen toys and figures. Those fans are now in for a real treat–the Funko Frozen POP! Vinyls figures are now available for order!

Daily Toy Review #90: Disney Vinylmation Park 7 9″ Magic Kingdom 7 Adventures Retro Ticket Book

Earlier in the week I wrote my first Vinylmation review since launching Toy Review Daily, when I reviewed Park 7’s 9″ Main Street Electrical Parade Train. Today I’ve got another 9″er from Park 7, the Magic Kingdom 7 Adventures Retro Ticket Booklet (that’s a mouthful). While I feel like I’m older than dirt (I’m going to turn 29 for the second time later this year), there are still some things …

Daily Toy Review #88: Disney Vinylmation Park 7 9″ Main Street Electrical Parade Train

One aspect of my wild collecting life that I haven’t really folded into this website yet is the little (and not-so-little) vinyl Mickey Mouses that have overrun my living room (And office. (But not the bedroom. (Yet.))). Disney’s Vinylmation began with a 12-figure 3″ blind-box set in late 2008, but the Mouse really stuck his claws (paws?) into me in the summer 0f 2009. It started with just wanting the …

iPhone App Review: Vinylmation Kingdom’s Mouse Vault Version 1.0

In general I only write toy reviews on this blog, but today I’ve got something a little bit different: a mobile phone app review. (Don’t walk out–there’s collecting relevancy to this.) The vast majority of the apps I get from the App Store are free. It’s only on rare occasions that I’ll actually purchase an app for anything, as most everything I need from WordPress to Photoshop to ESPN Scorecenter …

Daily Toy Review #59: Stitch Disney POP! Vinyl Series 1 Figure (Funko)

Today I’ve got something a little bit different from usual to review. If blind-bagged figures are taking America by storm on one front, then vinyl collectible figures are invading from another. It seems like new lines and companies are constantly springing up with their own entry into the designer figure market each year, and one such line entering the fray last year for Funko’s Disney POP! Vinyls. Although I have …

TOY REVIEW: Disney Vinylmation 9″ Animal Kingdom Tree of Life – Parks Series 5

Today I’ll be reviewing my first Vinylmation figure in a little while, the brand-new 9″ Tree of Life design released at the parks and online Friday, February 18th. It’s taken 5 series of Park Vinylmations, but Disney has finally released a design in honor of what is unquestionably the iconic image of Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park: the Tree of Life. The 9″ Tree of Life figure represents the 14-story, …

TOY REVIEW: Disney Vinylmation 9″ Merlin the Wizard (Animation Series 1)

TOY REVIEW: Disney Vinylmation 9″ Merlin I picked up two of the unreleased Animation Series 1 9″ vinyls that were accidentally put out by the Times Square Disney Store over the weekend. I reviewed the first, Bolt the Dog, on Sunday. Tonight, I’ll be discussing Merlin, the legendary-yet-grouchy wizard from the 1963 Walt Disney Classics Collection animated feature “The Sword in the Stone”. As I mentioned, this was put out …

TOY REVIEW: Disney Vinylmation 9″ Bolt the Dog (Animation Series 1)

TOY REVIEW: Disney Vinylmation 9″ Bolt I wasn’t entirely planning on buying any more of these, but it seems that these plastic mice are like crack. While visiting the brand-new Times Square Disney Store in NYC yesterday, I stumbled across a display of freshly put-out 9″ Vinylmation figures. Presumably, this was a mistake, as these figures have apparently not been released at any other Disney Store or at any Disney …
