Funko TMNT Mystery Minis Vinyl Figures Revealed & Photos!

Funko has taken the toy collecting world by storm in a relatively very short span of time, and they’ll continue their conquest of collectors’ wallets everywhere late this summer, when they take one of their most popular licenses and give it all-new series. Funko is set to release yet another of their ultra-popular blind-boxed figure lines: the first-ever Funko Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mystery Minis series is now up for order!

Funko TMNT Mystery Minis Figures Case of Blind Boxes

Oh man, Funko sure knows how to strike fear into the hearts of collectors’ bank accounts everywhere. It wasn’t enough that Funko was producing POP! Vinyls figures for practically every license under the sun. No, they had to expand out and create other lines such as their amazing 6″ Legacy Collection action figures, the super-cool Hikari Sofubi series, and the smash-hit blind-boxed Mystery Minis vinyl figures.

While Funko has already released TMNT Funko POP! Vinyls of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themselves, Shredder and Splinter; this summer Funko Ninja Turtles POP! Vinyls of April O’ Neil, Bebop, Rocksteady, and a Foot Soldier will debut. Not to be outdone, however, two more characters will debut in Funko form in the 2.5″ TMNT Mystery Minis lineup: Krang and Casey Jones!

These are drastically different (and more classic) versions of Casey Jones and Krang than we’ve gotten in the Nickelodeon TMNT cartoon series, and I for one am glad to see the vintage looks for the characters return. Gotta love Krang’s android body!

Funko Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mystery Minis Figures Series LineupTo make things easy for collectors (and kids!), Funko is going to pack each case of twelve Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mystery Minis with one of each figure in the series. Thus, the rarity scale is 1/12 for all twelve figures in the series. So if you purchase a case of twelve, you’re guaranteed to get all twelve figures. Thanks, Funko!

The Funko Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mystery Minis are now available for pre-order as both full cases and individual blind boxes. The series is expected to ship out in September 2014.

So, TMNT fans, what do you think of Funko’s first TMNT foray into Mystery Minis figures? Are these 2.5″ figures radical enough to earn your dollars this summer?
